You know, I have not even tried finding any traditional Latin mass churches in our area. And there are LOTS of old-timey trad types around here, so I bet there may be such a thing.

Thanks for that suggestion. It turns out there's one a few blocks away! It's up a really big hill, but I can walk, I am not a cripple. I knew there was a chapel in that old military installation, but I didn't know they held mass there!

The museum inside the old bunkers and tunnels under that place is also really awesome. I'll have to make a post after we go.

Wrapping your rosary to your hand or wrist during mass is one thing which Ive seen others do as a way to channel their faith towards their prayer beads, and i dont see nothing wrong with that. The issue is using it as an adornment.

For those looking to wear something, a scapulary is simpler.

I only see tithing in the OT. Funny Paul didn't rebuke it along with other practices of the law. The closest thing to a NT tithe is what Jesus paid as temple tax. If you really want to get into tithing I think it's 100%. Drop everything and follow Jesus. There's also a command to give to the poor. I've seen theologians make a distinction between tax and tithe as computed based on what you earn vs what you're given. But since all things come from God... 100% is your proper tithe per Jesus's command to follow him. Rich man, eye of the needle... my interpretation fits. How then can one call 10% a tithe? No, that must be a tax. Tithing to the church does you as much good in heaven as getting circumcised, and Paul tells us what he thinks of circumcision in Galatians 5.

The church I've gone to offers assistance to its members directly. Food ,vouchers for the grocery store, clothing, bills. Even those outside of the church if referred by a member.
