I once put a batch script in my schools lab pc startup folder on windows that rebooted the pc. They wound up reinstalling Windows. LMAO!!!

I made boot disks with an autoexec.bat that loaded a naked lady picture and placed them in computers at school.

I worked at an office supply bigbox and some asshole kept coming in with a 3 1/2 disk and it would copy a new system over the hard drive and it would slideshow porn that couldn't be exited from/locked the keyboard. Good times and I think we moved more units when he did that.

On some old unix systems (just before Linux was fully competitive on the unix market), they had a .login file.

I think there are a few scripts in most linux distros that would do the same thing. I think it would work the same way in .bashrc or a lot of them have a .startup or something like that that's similarly rigged.

I don't get who would use nano on the regular anyways. It's nice for quick edits if you hate vi (like me), and you can't use a GUI editor for whatever reason. If emacs is installed, I don't know how many people know that emacs -nw will bring up a terminal emulator version of emacs.
