Silver is less rare and harder to manipulate in markets plus it might be not as bad( not as heavy) as gold for metal poisoning( but iodine and boron pretty much clean up any heavy metals in your body that are building up)

Fire - not as effective as you would think, it doesn't do any special sort of damage to them beyond what it would would to a human, and they aren't any more flammable than humans either, but what it does do is continuous cellular damage for as long as the vampire is burning, which taxes its ability to heal, the same could could achieved with freezing them, shocking them, or throwing them in acid.
The main ways to off a vampire include the destruction of the brain or heart, or the separation of them from each other, the act of poisoning them wirh allicin or similarly effective poisons, the act of burnibg them with UV radiation, the act of bleeding them dry, or the act of causing them to starve to death.
Any sort of physical trauma is best performed using wood or silver, with silver being optimal, and wood being the worse option.
If you could trap them somehow, starvation is a killer, they need the blood to remain undead, and without it they die, just as with any other means.
A good means of starvation is by trapping the with wards, or by making them be swept away and under by fast running waters, or by some other means.
Another option is having them die from lack of sleep, if they don't sleep during the day, they will be harmed just as well a when we don't sleep at night, if it doesn't do them in, it will at least make offing them easier.
Once the vampire is dead, you should burn the body, just to be sure.
