My dad was based. My mom was pretty based too (stay at home with a load of siblings). Religious with some substance faults he tried to hide from us. We'd argue all the time about politics and religions once I hit my angsty teenage years and academia did a number on me. I knew all the leftist talking points and thought they were my own thoughts. He'd usually just laugh at me and tell me what a naive retard I was, and how I would eventually look back on it, and see that.

And he was right. I was a fucking naive retard.

To any dads out there, stick by your guns. Do not cowtow. Do not cave and try and be some cool dad. If your child hates you, and you are a strong presence in his life trying to get them to do what is right, you are probably doing it right.

After an admittedly too long rumspringer(in the general sense; Not Amish) with many mistakes, I eventually started reading, overdosing on red pills, experiencing life, and finally seeing this world for what it was.... I've learned the fucking bastard was right, about damn near everything. He's a lolbert Glenn Beck style muh greatest ally foxnews milquetoast republican by today's standards, but IDGAF. I love my dad, and I've learned so much from the old codger. He inadvertently put me on my career path in tech, taught me the default of DIY, and he made sure I knew what was right explicitly or by forcing me to go to church. My sons will get the same, because of what he did.

When you teach your sons, you are teaching your grandsons.

I had a based dad, mom, and grandpa. Plus the small community that I grew up in was mostly pretty based to.
Dad told us children many times over about the congress of street apes that tried to kill him in detroit when he was just 16. He taught us to avoid the groid!
He also taught us about God. We learned about the synagogue of satan and that we still have them today.
There was a lot of information back then that was hidden. It was very difficult back then to find out the things that we know today. I mean, I grew up in a small southern town. We had no way of knowing the truth about things like how degenerate the weimar republic was. That kind of information was completely hidden! Even at that dad and grampa made sure to tell us that the German people were very good people. They didn't care much for Japanese or italians, but they taught us to not hate the Germans. Anything that we were told in school could not be true because they knew that the Germans were good people.
That's based enough for me!
