I just had an epiphany. The Butterfly Effect (2004 ) is about Project Monarch, not time travel based on A Sound of Thunder book by Ray Bredbury. Infact, the Monarch Project is represented by a butterfly, and has to do with hypnotized children in order to become schizophrenic slaves who can do everything they are ordered without questioning orders.

I suggest to rewatch the movie and think about Project Monarch. Not sci-fi.
