I missed the Vietnam war (thank god) my pop did not, but I was involved in all the wars that followed up to now. Pointless wars. However, I did like going to war. As a veteran, I'd argue that this other veteran is wrong about several things.
The US was defeated in Vietnam and Afghanistan by it's own politicians, not the Vietnamese and Afghans. There are a lot of Nam vets who will tell you we could have won that war if the politicians actually let them fight the war to win.
