We don't really know... it could be 340ml (12 oz) or 455 ml (16 oz). Either of those pretty commonly come in 6 packs in the US. There are also larger sizes.
I’ve been there bro. More then a decade of drinking right after work until I fall asleep. Wake up at 3am with a super dry mouth needing to piss, whispering to myself that I need to cut back a bit. The truth was that I needed to quit completely.
So many little things Missing out on because I was scheduling my time around my drinking. Always making excuses at family events as to why I needed to run to the gas station and sneak a few more drinks. Freedom was an illusion. I was a slave to the sense of detachment alcohol provided me. This detachment would not allow me to confront personal failures.
One day I started drinking a half gallon of water in the morning to feel full and let it take me as far as possible. I drove right by the gas station I once visited everyday and never looked back. Took some sleeping pills and went to bed at 9pm every night. It took a little over a month to really feel better. I was now able to focus on developing skills that I am proud of. It is worth the effort to quit.
I would set a date to take a like a week off from the shit you have to do, like a vacation, and go to detox. It's just a more formalized plan than quitting by yourself, and there's no obligation or downside, really. If you have insurance, they'll pay for it. Otherwise, you can talk to a place that does it about what it would cost.
I did that once. I was sober for a few weeks. Started drinking again. Eventually I took a 6 week vacation and went to rehab. It was a bit more difficult to arrange, but it was worth it.
