When the crowd started pushing through, I thought they might try to restrain and disarm the cops to prevent them from interfering with the big guy. It got me thinking: what if a large crowd was armed with hundreds of hand-cuffs? As soon as the cops give them an excuse, they could start arresting the cops en masse. If you detained a good chunk of 'em at once, that might put a big dent in scumbag politicians ability to maintain control through force/threats. It would also be harder to spin as a violent/destructive movement that should be cracked down upon.
