"Falling apart" means something like a 15% drop after PC sales surged during Covid. This is an oversupply problem and return to normality:

I just bought a used la[top for under $400. I haven't had a desktop since 2014. My last laptop was 9 years old and I only replaced it because my GPU was dying.

I have a laptop that is now more than 11 years old (acer), still doing fine. What about that?

Nice. Mine was a business class Dell and I used it for old gaming and some new casual stuff, but the old IBM integrated GPU started to overheat all the time.

Pc market is dropping because you can't make $3-$5 a day on a new rig and pay off your initial investment because cryptos that aren't garbage and ponzi schemes are only treading water.
