Nah, perfectly consistent. They partake in the fruits of capitalism and find it unfulfilling. There are greater luxuries, sure, but they are reserved for the minority, so it is fair to judge a system by what it does for the typical well-behaved person.

Heavy governmental regulations have distorted the "free market" aspect of the economy. The only semblance of capitalism that remains is the ability for retail investors to gamble on certain investments that could be somewhat safe bets if you have enough principle.

What modern consumers really mean when they say that they hate capitalism is that they hate to see people that are more successful than them that are consuming the luxury products that they wish they had for themselves. Mostly because they have no impulse control and they waste their money on useless shit like the stuff in the photo.
