I had a diversity hire tell me today that if I wanted the room to cool down quicker I should lower the thermostat more and just stop it when it reaches the temperature that I want. This nigger was working for an HVAC company.. and he thinks that a thermostat controls the temperature of the air coming out of the vents. They’d be useless these days even as slaves.

Stuff like that is neat. Microwaves do something similarly deceptively simple. When you set the power level to anything lower than 100%, it just intermittently turns the microwave emitter on and off so it's on a total of whatever percentage you set it to out of the total heating time, distributed in strategic bursts.
