You will need to hold off the government attempts to retake it, and make it self-sustainable, and make it such that you can win over the people in heart and mind.

It might also be best to encourage similar takeovers in other cities, which will weaken the elites control over your country and their ability to muster up the force they need to retake the lands you've seized.

Focus on playing defense at the start, but prepare to begin expanding your domain in the luls between seiges later on, it will be like trench warfare, first they and you will take turns charging and defending, occasionally you will both charge at once, or both defend, and often there will be a flank attempt where they use your charge as a way to strike the base while your out force is deployed.

It's a civil conflict, so deploying nukes is a desperation move, not that they won't do it, but they will most likely use them only when they think they can make it look justifiable on the world stage. Nuking your own citizens in a highly populated area is a very bad look and hard to sell as being a thing that people who aren't supervillains would do.

You have an advantage, however, you are beginning from the role of the villain, which means that you can engage in all sorts of underhanded and atrocious conduct and still come out with a better reputation than when you started because of this.

Heck, you could play up the evil Hollywood nazi thing and blame it all on the enemy for making you this way, and you'd be easily able to get others to buy into that narrative.

You know, "rise white devils rise" and all that.

Look for the advantages that a bad situation affords you.

Also know that winning a war is more than martial victories, you also need to win the war for perception as being the heroes of thw story, fighting against the villains, you need to work carefully to acquire and maintain this majestic in the eyes of the world's people.

So with acts that inspire sympathy and understanding and which make you look more virtuous, noble, honorable, and good in the eyes of the world, you can win the cultural war that always accompanies the martial combat.

Just don't pull a Hitler and make major tactical mistakes out of a need to appear benevolent, it's better to be feared than loved when the two must be chosen between, but it is best to be loved and feared.

Be good, but not at the expense expense being smart and victorious.

Let's get this straight right now, no matter what you think, the police don't care about you. Nope, not even a little.

They do it for the power the job brings. The perks of being "better" than you. The opportunity and the chance to use violence legally. There are no good cops.

That's why they bust down your door, shoot your dog and hold your kids at gunpoint because they "got a call". That's why they speed through traffic, run red lights, pass on the shoulder, so that they can write you a ticket for doing 5mph over.

That's why when they have a personal disagreement they always resort to using their job to fuck with you.

Fuck cops. They are no better than the niggers you seem to love.
