I planted five pounds of potatoes at the start of the season, and so far have harvested sixty. The fertilizer I use is used bedding straw, and manure from my goats. I don't use pesticide.

If you're growing for yourself, you don't need pesticides. If you're growing for the entire third world, then you do.

Every single person growing food for themselves is some fantasy utopia. You can't build infrastructure, make progress, or do a whole lot of anything if every single person is constantly trying to maintain their own food source.
Coming from a person who's worked in the agriculture industry, any organic field you come by looks like complete shit while the ones that properly use herbicides and pesticides look lush and green. No dead patches, no patches eaten apart by insects, the works.

I should mention, most people have a horribly warped view on exactly how pesticides and herbicides are used. They are diluted in water at levels measured in the parts per million because of how little of an amount is actually used. If you were to put an 8oz drinking glass full of water on a kitchen table, you could expect a single drop of actual chemicals in that single glass. The fear about pesticides and herbicides is largely based on ignorance and media fear-mongering.

If you're growing for the entire third world, then you do.

The entire reason our crop yields have to be so perfect, is because we are being forced to feed the vermintide.
Remove the shitskins from the equation, and you no longer need to risk pesticides. Of course, removing the shitskins means removing the kikes, and I would be much more trustful of pesticide use, if there were no kikes to stick their grubby hands in it.
