Countries with the highest monogamy have the least flashy aesthetics. Northern europeans wear alot of subdued colors. Their home decor is less gaudy. The amish are the most extreme in this respect. The whole “plain” dressing movement in northern europe is an example of this. Lower competition between males and higher egalitarianism leads to a decrease in expensive, elaborate displays of wealth.

This phenomenon diminishes as you go into south and east europe. Flashy displays of wealth are part of the polygamous package, along with corruption, violence, etc. Conspicuous consumption and egotism do not go well with monogamy, which is naturally more egalitarian

You see the same difference between the chinese and the japanese. The chinese are in to way more gaudy displays because its an outward sign of their higher levels of corruption.

These are two different studies on older males of three races and younger males from just 2 races. They all show whites have the lowest levels of androgens

Blacks have higher rates of prostate cancers and higher levels of androgen receptors in the prostate. They have higher levels of ACE2 receptors and higher rates of keloids all linked to higher androgen levels

Testosterone increases libido and it increases aggression. These hormones are found in higher levels in populations that are more promiscuous in different species as well. Accept the facts.

Testosterone is THE hormone of aggression.

To understand why aggression is so useful in males across many species you have to understand why males generally pursue a more ‘r’ strategy relative to females (r/K selection) even in relatively ‘K’ species, and then observe that in certain species under certain conditions, males are more reproductively successful when NOT pursuing an ‘r’ type strategy and being more monogamous and nurturing of a small number off offspring. This is a less ‘male’ approach since males in general are more polygamous, more aggressive and less nurturing. Since testosterone turns on all those behaviors, lower testosterone will be observed in more monogamous males.

This accounts for at least some of the disparity between white and black men. There is a huge payoff for males to murder each other in some circumstances and that will never be particularly true for females.
