Get a tarp.
Hold the tarp up in front of you.
Slowly walk towards it. Skunk shouldn't spray because it's just a big wall coming towards it, and not a predator. If it does spray, the tarp should protect you.
Drop the tarp over the cage.
Back your truck up to it. Let the exhaust under the tarp.
The skunk dies.
Make a Davy Crockett hat.
Post pics of your cool new hat.

Must be gas exhaust. Diesel won't work.

I've never done it myself, so I don't know how long it takes. But yes, I know people who do this with skunks and raccoons because they don't want to shoot them, but they know that they have to kill it. Or people who trap a skunk in town, and can't be shooting it within town limits. And don't want to throw a live scared spraying skunk in the back of their truck.

As for walking towards it with a tarp held in front of you - The skunk only gets a couple sprays, so it uses them sparingly. If it can't see you, and only sees a tarp and you move relatively slowly, it doesn't have a target and (usually) doesn't spray.

It's a pest. Ignore the leftie scum and kill it. And this is from a guy who worked at a wildlife rehab center for two years and loved skunks, even when sprayed.

If you like them, take them somewhere far, far away and release them. If you don't, they're fucking pests, like rabbits, and kill them. I'm a country boy, not some simp loser from the city, so I'm perfectly okay with either option.

*Edit: I come from skunk country and this is how they deal with it. Once you have them in a cage, immerse it in water. They can discharge all they like at that point and it makes no difference.
