Doing the math on 75 miles of 1600 feet high, with a guess of 100 feet wide buildings - that would give each of the 5million residents about 120 square meters to live (with 3 meter high floors). Seems like a huge amount of space for a family of 4.

But it is oil money. Maybe that is the expected amount of space.

Dream projects like this have a couple huge pitfalls - the upfront money and finding the people that will live there. I don't think finding 5 million people that will pay to live there will be easy.

I would expect a cost overrun for this type of project at between 5 to 10x the initial projections easily.
