Guarantee theirs are way more ironed out than this thing. They didn't even program recoil recovery into it, the gun is mounted way too high causing the thing to actually rear up during burst fire.

Not that I want to teach the military how to better weaponize these automatons but the should be mounting pistol caliber weapons upside down as low to the chassis as possible, lower recoil close to the center of mass means more manageability and therefore accuracy.

The doctrine of arms should be that these things do flanking maneuvers and take pot shots to drive people out of cover or wound them enough to stop fighting back, they should run up and deploy themselves sit flat, side to the enemy, and take shots, I get that their expensive but essentially a troop mobile auto turret system that deploys multiple turrets at potential choke points would make our special forces and infantry unflankable in urban warfare even fully plated operators wouldn't want to just push an auto turret popping pistol rounds off at them without cover. Bring in the advancements in battle networking in the field you could see these thing going down in real time and spot a counter offensive or flank and catch them by surprise

With a guidance computer for aiming, and some rudimentary robotics to adjust pitch and and rotation mount two P90s on the back of such a thing and it could fire them while in the lay down(prone i guess) position, the goal is to suppress the enemy and act as an alert for humans on the battlefield, they are expendable support units.

The issue is obviously cost but I'm betting these things currently coat about 4 x their weight in iphones, so I figure the cost could be dropped by 40-80% depending on economies of scale.

What about stairs with inconsistent rise/run?
