Don't keep it in the house and don't go to the bar. Now you have time on your hands. Do you have a hobby? If not get one. Clean the house, repair the house. Repair anything else. Clean your guns.
And do you smoke weed? Many will say it's just as bad and blah blah, afaic it's a lesser evil and will take the edge off if you're having trouble staying away from drink.
Don't even drive by the bar, if that's your thing, or anything associated with the drinking. Those are cues and can trigger cravings. Even something like being on Voat late at night can count if it's been a regular activity associated with the habit (aka conditioning.) Quitting drinking is a change in lifestyle as much as a change in a singular behavior.
Keep drinking but moderate. You are probably sick with some bug because you have been drinking too much and compromised your immune system. Don't try to go cold turkey. Just reduce your consumption for now.
Alcohol withdrawal is the only known substance dependency that can result in death from going cold turkey. At ten drinks a day you're probably not there yet but I wouldn't recommend it nonetheless. Switch to something weaker if limiting the frequency is difficult.
There is something called "kindling" in which repeated on-again, off-again drinking will amplify subsequent withdrawals. You are better to slowly wean yourself off of alcohol.
Hmm. Drink as much as you want as long as it doesn't interfere with anything or anyone else. Your call, your vice. No judgement. Not kidding about the DTs though. You do NOT want to experience them, and some of your symptoms are warning signs.
Been there, done that. Still drink once in a while.
If you're getting delirium tremens... if its that bad... Don't go cold turkey. You can probably cut your "dose" in half immediately but taper it off. over a week to a month.
Making positive change in your live can be accomplished in only one way. Replacing bad habits with good ones. Then maintaining those habits for the rest of your life. The only people who succeed in losing weight make permeant improvements to their eating habits, those who diet always fail. Always.
Set up a system that you're 100% confident you can follow indefinitely, even if it achieves the results slower than you'd like, then tweak it every few months.
Meh. Works for some. I grew mushrooms and extracted shitloads of DMT. Done shrooms hundreds of times and the latter thousands. I actually find a bit of alcohol helps with the edge of a strong DMT session.
Psychedelics can give insight to your problems, but you ultimately have to make the committment yourself. Of the classical psychedelics, I found LSD to be the most introspective one and had the most epiphanies under its influence. Most of the others are simple mindfucks.
Is that spaced out across the day or one sitting? I ask because the solution to a drinking problem is as unique as each situation, and I wouldn't give a day drinker the same advice as a nite-capper.
The liver, kidneys & pancreas have a magical natural way of dealing with alcohol poisoning, kinda like childbirth but in reverse. Drink responsibly, or die.
I quit smoking by having one less cigarette each day. Try to distract yourself when you get the urge to have a drink. Lastly if you can exercise now would be a good time to put down the beer and pick up the dumbells.

If you can find the strain "Bee Cookies", its been known to help stave off the shakes and night sweats as you go through the withdrawal.

As the others said, taper down. If you don't want anything to do with booze, then seek a doc who is willing to toss you some Librium.

Now I'm not saying it won't be hard if you're just to deal with your real life, but you asked. FOR FUCK SAKE, STOP DRINKING. JUST STOP.
Give it a few days. They'll be painful. But since you asked, this is the best way.

I don't see why drinking would be any different.
