I was. Sorta. It was an interesting scene back then, you could talk about all sorts of things. sitting in the corner of a club and discussing various philosophies, mythologies/religions, politics, etc. Nazgoth was very much a thing, and there was quite a bit of far right elements in the scene, both libertarians and authoritarians. The scene was very white, extremely white, but worldly and interested in exploring various concepts, that's what I miss about the scene.
The bigger names all sold out, Bauhaus, SoM, Cure, Cult, etc. It was predictable of anyone who gets up there in successfulness that they will be seen as an influential figure and of course the jews will then put their talons in them (there's nothing they abhor more than something they don't have control over), and with all the drugs and sex of the scene, there'd be plenty of things they could use to control those types of people with. Nothing a major celebrity does is their own ideas, they live their entire lives according to a script dictated to them by wealthy powerful kikes. Honestly, the fact that goth is both well known of and obscure in its actual nature is both a boon and a fault to it, I'm happy that its stayed somewhat unknown, but at the same time, still managed to be something people know of. The thing that pisses me of the most today is that all the creators of content that I enjoy have turned to libshit, tom fulp of newgrounds used to be pretty fucking epic, especially with his most iconic character, a kid who went from normal, weak, and helpless to becoming a badass when disaster struck, and he was forced to learn to get stronger or die, then spent his other games going around kicking ass, surviving a death game with his friends against superhumans, taking down multiple high-level threats as a contracted killer, and participating in a martial arts death matches. His enemies were all psychopaths, insane killers, superhumans, robots, aliens, and literal monsters, he on the other hand was a mere human being with skills, arms/equipment, balls of steel, a sharp tongue, and a heck of a lot of luck. Then came that day, an april fools day, where tom fulp remakes his older games with a woke perspective, discarded originality and authenticity, just generally worse. He removed the uniqueness, the edge, the humor, and instead inserted everything terrible about modern media. Worse, it actively ruined the previous games, by implying that a bunch of edgy 90s era losers who were a parody of the columbine shooters, a mix of Cluster B losers and certifiable psychopaths, were able to just be talked down into becoming peaceful, because they were actually just some sad misunderstood kids with issues lashing out in rage and confusion, rather than killing a bunch of people they perceived as inferior for not being edgelords like themselves, murdering for fame and their own personal amusement, with the same motivations for their actions as the columbine killers they were based upon. Furthermore, they needed to make up for the "transphobia" of the original game by making the badass hero into a bisexual faggot, who was dating the newest main character from tom's recent hit game, FnF, where before he was portrayed as not only straight (fucking some asian chick who is frequently suicidal but is also immortal, and who refuses to date the best friend of her boyfriend because she doesn't date black boys) but just as casually homophobic as most 90s kids were, using "fag" and "gay" as insulting labels, basically, they took is character and turned some important part of him 180 degrees, essentially making in a different character than the one we knew and loved. What's worse is that modern audiences, who were never the original fanbase and only heard of newgrounds when FnF broke into the mainstream, quickly descended upon the fandom and started inserting their wokeness into it, lie they do with everything you love, these 13 year old girls in the bodies of 30 year old women are possessed of an un healthy obsession with homosexuality and transgenderism, this is a distinct characteristic of our modern era where everyone wants everyone to be gay or trans, and straight up despises heterosexuality. usually these types are heterosexual themselves, but they will claim to not be, they think faggotry is interesting and sensational, and also that every piece of media needs these characters in them, seeing such characters makes them feel excited, and they will try to exert their influence to make every character gay or trans. this the same attitude as existed behind that exploitation type cinema, it is modern day exploitation. I really don't know how to describe it, but there's a group of people who just want to fag everything up.
