First of all it's very likely that Harry is only the half-brother of william. It's very likely that Harry is the illegitimate son of a dalliance that princess Diana had with a red-haired soldier that everybody pretty much knows about. So there's that. Secondly there's a huge the fact that William's going to become king and Harry isn't and so Harry is the cast off and even if they were full brothers that would cause conflict. Lastly I don't know what kind of families most people come from but quite frankly sibling rivalries are much more in abundance than sibling loyalties. In actual real life circumstances my experience and experience of everybody that I know has been they fought more with their siblings than anybody else. Well not anybody else but still. This idea of siblings support I found in reality doesn't exist or if it does it's very very rare.

From Harry's standpoint marrying a Hollywood star puts him on a possible equal or even larger footing than William becoming King because William won't become king for years and Harry is married to this Hollywood star that has gotten him more press and probably more money than he certainly would have gotten as a cast-off second level royal. So what William thinks about how it affects the family or whatever may not be in line with what Harry's objectives were. I imagine deep within Harry is this huge objective of upstaging his brother william. So I'm not sure he really wants to take a lot of advice from William who I'm sure wants to make sure that he maintains the position of the top of that generation Royal descendants. And in many ways Harry is out done William in publicity and that sort of thing.
