I take my golden retriever for walks around downtown and outdoor malls a lot.... He likes the sidewalk and the chance to see people and get told how handsome he is. Anyway he constantly sees himself in store windows and doesn't react because he knows it's him.

Mirror tests are very good at determining self awareness unless it’s some little niglet then it’s just a culture thing.

Mirrors and self recognition aren’t part of an elephants culture either.. but somehow they figure it out.
