What you don't understand is that the anti cop movement and the anti gun movement are one and the same. They are driven by propaganda from those in power. The point of defunding police is to increase crime and violence. Guns will then be blamed for that crime and violence as the criminals will always use guns in thier crimes.
It is the most violent and crime ridden cities that the most stringent gun laws are passed. That is what they are trying to spread by removing protection from criminals.
