No but in reality, anime has become a major problem because it is filled to the brim with degeneracy. Incest, pedophilia, hypergamy, rape, bestiality, it fantasizes and sexualizes everything. When I was a kid I watched anime that was dudes fighting with magic swords to protect women from evil monsters. Now it's watching people be gutted, abused, raped, etc. While your protagonist is some horribly traumatized psycho that does horrible things.
But it's still less kiked than western media somehow. The anime/manga industry is in reality just a meat grinder. It's throw anything and everything at the wall and see what sells. Profits are king and so long as people are willing to consume degenerate media, you get degenerate media. I think the degeneracy in anime is actually more of a symptom of degeneracy in society than a cause.
The degeneracy in anime is caused by artists who kneel to support sexualized requests of fanservice. Artists who refuse are ignored, demonized, or both. Most of these requests are hyper-sexualized in nature. Plus, I partially blame Japan for this problem for allowing the use of sexual degeneracy in their anime because it cause people to go Hikkiomori, a problem that was made worse during the Common Cold Pandemic of 2020.
An oversexualized character who is a child is not natural. A 13yr old girl with double D cups who say she is 1000 years old. No wonder these boys are fucked in the head, add in ADHD meds, Soy food consumption, with a lack of physcial activity and we got a major problem on our hands. Unfortunately, we're in that muck and no one wants to do anything about it because the Jew cycle of control on anime works flawlessly.
Sexualization sells incredibly well and that's really it. I've never heard of any cases where not sexualizing characters gets anyone negative responses other than potential lost/decreased sales. Which as a result, ends their career. As like I stated above, the industry is all about how much money something can make. Hence why most anime only get one season, they simply do not make enough money. It's a symptom of societal degeneracy, not a cause.
I would not blame sexual degeneracy in anime causing hikikomori so much as Japan's culture as a whole. There are many hikikomori who are well into their 40s, before the degenerate shit really hit the main stream. Both problems are certainly Japan's fault. But look at their other industries and try telling me they aren't filled to the brim with complete degeneracy. Their idols/pop stars are basically sex slaves for their managers. The west have a comically high AoC of 18 which leads to the vast majority of women fucking multiple guys before they're even a legal option as a wife for a guy who has worked his life to get one. I'd rather have it to low than too high since that at least wouldn't lower our birthrates and reduce the supply of decent women at marriage age.
