There's a couple of damned useful ways to get images uploaded to image hosting sites that will make your life so much easier. These are PC oriented so if you're a mac-fag or on mobile, this won't be as useful to you.
First, (nearly) any file browse button is drag & drop friendly. If you've saved the image to your computer and you see one of those lame "Browse" buttons that pops a file dialog for you, just drag your image onto it. If the browse button doesn't work like this, the site designer was an idiot.
Second, right clicking the image will give you a host of options including copying the image, copying the image's location. Copying the image's url and pasting it into a file dialog (like with the browse button) will work the same as a local file. To do this, right click the image, copy the image url (or copy the address if in a tab by itself), click the "browse" button on the site you want to upload to, paste the image URL into the filename textbox and confirm. If you're logged into a site in order to see the image, this will still work! There are exceptions to this like really long image urls or image urls that end in parameters instead of the file extension.
Right clicking and copying the image itself (not the url) gives you a bunch of other options to do things exactly the same as if you hit Win+Shift+S (which allows you to take a screenshot snippet of part of the screen by drawing a box and then putting that in your clipboard for pasting). In both cases, you can immediately paste that into an image editing program (like mspaint) to do things like block out info, draw arrows, etc. Then you can CTL+A to select the entire image, CTL+C to copy that image, and then paste that into sites that allow you to paste clipboard image content (like pic8). You can also use this screen snipping shortcut to use meme generator sites to create your content and snip it without submitting it (and possibly getting that stupid watermark).
Shortcut tip: if you want to use mspaint, you can hit WIN+R, type "mspaint" without the quotes and hit "enter" on your keyboard and a new instance of paint will start up for you. No shortcuts or menus are needed for that.
