They’re just good entertainment for the whole family. Rarely any swearing or other degeneracy. Good story lines too. Some of them are Louis L'amour stories in film.
I don’t have cable, dish or even a rooftop antenna. We solely use the tv for dvds or renting a movie online. Haven’t watched cable tv in eight years and local antenna tv in 3.

Hondo, with John Wayne. One of the best scenes ever where the Duke picks the boy up by the shirt collar and the seat of the pants and chunks him in the water! The boys mom gets all nervous cause he don't know how to swim. Wayne tells her to jump in and save him if she's that worried about it. She says she doesn't know how to swim either. John Wayne looks at her and takes one step towards her and she takes off running!!! Hahahaha!
