The guy was pretty consistently on the move and had his head on a swivel, looking for sucker punches. Let's give him a little credit here: it's a difficult feat to *not* end up in the middle when fighting a pack of feral niggers.
He even managed to get up and continue once the fight hit the ground whereupon he was promptly being surrounded by hostiles, again, employing movement in an attempt to avoid being surrounded, which I found impressive.
Absolutely agree that there was plenty of room for improvement and the outcome here was far better than many of the "one sucker punch and dude gets stomped out" videos I've seen.

Agree with your assessment.
Clearly not a boxer or he'd have better position while engaging, counter his opponents pitiful attacks and throw more effective punches than the John Wayne haymakers you pointed out initially.
Not totally ineffective though in that he seemed to have some sense of movement and distance.
