Cut the guy a little slack. That's not only hindsight but he was sold something else entirely and lied to. What he wanted to do, thought he was doing was not what he was told to do. The lesson is harsh and makes him a broken man at an age where he should be kicked back on a lake with a beer and a cigar or something.

He wanted to do the right thing. We can learn from that mistake.
