shocking revelation! Cryptocurrency Titan Coinbase Providing 'Geo Tracking Data' To ICE and other Feds, your mandatory SMS cell number, photo ID, and if using app, your GPS too!

OMG!

Coinbase already wont let you withdraw or transfer ANY coins out without a matching scanned government ID, and a USA based cell phone number sent a SMS text challenge. Installing their app snags your photo and your GPS.

https://theintercept.com/2022/06/29/crypto-coinbase-tracer-ice/

ICE is now able to track transactions made through nearly a dozen different digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Tether.

(((Coinbase))) has in recent years made a concerted effort to pitch its intelligence features to government agencies, including the IRS, Secret Service, and Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security, ICE, etc.

use MONERO only on your own private wallets only.

ONLY USE anonymous untracked coins like Monero!

FUN FACT : Monero is the best cryptocurrency, because it cannot be traced. Most coins are not anonymous chains

for non-anonymous investment, dogecoin https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/ might do a pop again and is HONEST COIN with barely ANY old coins still held by the honest founders, and a tiny amount in a engineering trust.

All the other 10,071 cryptos are kiked and "morally" untrusted except BitCoin because all its oldest coins are seemingly lost or the founders dead.

https://finance.yahoo.com/cryptocurrencies

most of the 10,071 are mathematically "safe" if they are clones of etherium source code, and are. The problem is stupidity , and greed by jew insiders on many.

just get some monero and keep it on your own wallet.

https://www.getmonero.org/

The IRS can and does track BitCoin once it enters or exits into fiat exchange

monero is amazing, and you can always xfer into and out of it, but using an exchange "taints" your bitcoins.

TL/DR: (((Coinbase))) went totally evil.

Imagine thinking this wasn't already happening 5 years ago

This is what happens when the IRS announces they want their cut.

And now they want to tax you on unrealized gains.

Buy the stock. Don't use them.

Coinbase was shit since like 2015 when they started warning me about transfering crypto to wallets that weren't on their approval list (in my case, a poker website). I got banned less than a year later for not providing an adequate explanation.

As shitty as that is, you violated one of the first rules of crypto spending: Never directly send/spend from the exchanges. Always transfer to a private wallet. Tumble if doing something sketchy.

Agreed. I learned my lesson.

Edit: with companies like Chainanalysis anything but monero will suffer from the same problem, of course.

I've heard some fearmongering about even monero not being safe. Nothing but FUDD until confirmed; it's the only crypto I still use.

They still have that address. You wanna hide it? Split it among several wallets, transfer and exchange, transfer to several other wallets in the currency you prefer

Yep

Monero
Lol

Can you prove your coins where made fairly, and that the project lead cannot create more from thin air?

What a shitcoin

Every time I think I wanna get into crypto, another story like this comes out.

These companies are not required except for entry and exit from usd. Even then they are not really required, people will trade usd for crypto outside of the exchanges, like if a friend wanted to be totally anonymous i could buy on coinbase, tumble it, and then transfer to him. Once people make transaction in crypto for normal things then the need for usd (and these exchanges) goes away.

That's good to know. I have a friend that echoed OP in that when I get started, be sure to use a private wallet instead of these exchanges. Do you have recommendations for which crypto to look for and what to avoid?

[ - ] GoldenAgeWhen 1 point 2.9 yearsJul 3, 2022 13:29:25 ago (+1/-0)

i would stick to the big ones (btc or eth) unless you are going to actively trade. The reason you keep it in a private wallet is that the government or exchange can't access it if you do. To gain privacy you would "tumble" the coins, basically put your coins in a pool with lots of other people and then extracting them to a different wallet; this means that analysis can only see that you put the coins in, which means that you own one (or many) of the wallets that received coins, but they don't know which. There are software wallets that can passively tumble as well.
