Ya know what's funny is I wouldn't be shocked if he wasn't getting special treatment. You know, Napa county has quite the industry in people getting wasted. Not good for tourism dollars if you send them to jail for drunk driving. Plus the people that do live there are mostly wealthy and don't want their local government working overtime punishing them.

In most places, DUI is enforced more than other crimes because it's simple to prosecute and pumps a lot of money into both the government and private sector. It sort of functions as an alternative method of taxation, which people can mostly opt out from by not drinking and driving. Not 100% that not drinking will keep you from getting prosecuted, but your odds are better. Maybe they don't prosecute a lot.

Paul Pelosi has obviously been battered by police .. not good, "they" have been recruiting gang members and thugs into police forces since forever, he was arraigned for DUI .. while we do not endorse drinking and driving at any time, he is entitled to be a client of the CA justice system without suffering assault.
