I knew Stan and Jan.
Their name was absolutely Berenstain. Pronounced,
( bear- in stain).

I have ididic memory. Meaning I can remember early childhood events like they were yesterday. I have a very specific childhood memory in 3rd grade asking the teacher if it was pronounced “steen” or “stine”. I remember the discussion with my classmates. STEEN or STINE. Never was it STAIN.
