Opera's okay. Not my favorite, for whatever reason, but it's adequate.
I only use safari if I absolutely have to, like for testing purposes. Much like how I normally use chrome. I never use firefox whatsoever anymore. Not that you care, I just volunteered that for some reason.
I never found Opera to be adequate. I could never adjust the settings to give me what I wanted to see. I always wanted to give me what the developers wanted me to see. Messed and fiddled with it for two days, the deleted it. That was too much for me for just a damn web browser. If it can't JUST WORK, then it's junk.
I forgot what it was that I didn't like about it, but it was those things you said. And possibly some other minor thing as well. I was rather drunk at the time. Probably.

I made the mistake of downloading the last version for XP Pro. Hated it. Went to remove it, and found it waaay worse than any malware. I had to bring my computer tech in to get rid of it, even then it took him most of the hour to pick it apart at the registry level, and he is usually a Speedy Gonzales with computer crap.
