When I was a kid, our Siberian Husky was at the top of the stairs positioned towards the door wanting to go outside and wagging her tail, yet at the same time was growling menacingly down at me with teeth fully bared. This was completely abnormal behavior, and I was wondering what the hell was wrong with her. Suddenly she chomps down on her tail hard and immediately starts yelping in pain.

I loved that dog.

Golden Retrievers are wonderful dogs, very smart, very loyal and good. I am incredibly grateful for my golden who found me as a stray.

But boy they can be special sometimes.
