Vaping, the gayer cigarette.

More than 200 chemicals have been identified in these e-liquids used in e-cigarettes and they have the potential to harm people's health

"Australia's peak body for medical research says there is limited evidence vapes help people quit smoking ..."

Bullshit. I tried so many times to quit smoking. The only thing that allowed me to stop was the e-fagerettes.

And there is four ingredients in the juice I am currently using, so I have no idea where they get this "more than 200 chemicals" from.

I can explain that, i have worked with flavoring companies for years and have been making my own liquids for a decade as well as being an admin on the largest DIY site.

Each flavor is made of up different compounds, one flavor may have a dozen or more compounds in it. So if you have 5 flavors that make up the flavor profile you could easily have 60 different chemicals. A natural flavor extract can have upwards of a 100 different chemicals that make up the flavor, natural extracts are rarely used in commercial ejuice.

BUT, they add hundreds and in some cases thousands of chemicals to cigarettes. I smoked for 30+ years and gave it up 11 years ago when i bought my first real vaporizer, i havent had a single smoke since.

The "200 chemicals" claim is dishonest and contains every ingredient, flavoring included, among a broad sample size. Most reputable brands have three to four nontoxic chemicals, tops: Nicotine (ok, this one's a bit toxic), flavoring, and VG/PG.

The dangerous ones were historically Chinky brands.

Edit: Okay, so wrong about the flavoring part, as @KtownKracker detailed. My liquids are simple, though; mint or menthol. One chemical.

Still compared to regular cigs vaping is relatively safe. And the whole dual use statement in the article while true it is also false. When people start to switch they oft times dual use for awhile and then they either switch or continue with tobacco products.

Here is a list of the additives used in cigs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_additives_in_cigarettes

Is vaping 100% safe, fuck no, nothing is 100% safe for example you can drink too much water and it can kill you. Is it a great method of harm reduction? Fuck yes as it is orders of magnitude safer than cigs.

Got damned nanny state faggots..

The only thing that allowed me to stop was the e-fagerettes.

Imagine my shock that you tried a-faguettes.

Hey, thanks for archiving that.

A friend of mine has recently stopped vaping; he used to make up his own vaping liquid from basic ingredients, not just due to cost but because of concern about what was in the mixes that were available. Texas law increased the cost of such materials ridiculously. Now he's back to tobacco products, just how big corporate likes it.

I love my vape, and smoke everywhere undetected, even planes. Mine is the size of a lighter, not one of those big faggy things.
