Mass production of clones still just isn't possible to the scale of where replacement of entire groups is economically feasible. In addition, clones just aren't good at being clones. Most of the initial problems that they had with clone replacement was that the clones stood out too much as being "better" versions of the people they were supposed to mimic. You can't get a clone to understand how being addicted to heroine for 15 years and then getting clean makes one hate all other addictions. Even with the imprinted memories. I started researching clones and general replacements many years ago and it makes sense to me. So many celebrities have doubles... not sure if they're clones that didn't turn out just right, or something else.
