Now 'shop a coal-fired powerplant in the background.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 6 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 10:44:37 ago (+6/-0)

If I could afford that, I would drive around like that. I'd drive through the liberal rich areas. Ohio is coal country but those lefty fucks are in denial.

I heard that even if all the electricity was made by fossil fuels, it would still be better for the environment, because central power generation is much more efficient than a decentral one.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 1 point 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 15:12:08 ago (+1/-0)

Not if you're burning coal. Gotta beware of the people who conveniently only care about CO2 when they discuss pollution, conveniently. Of course they'll freak out about building a coal power plant in another context.

But yeah if you use natural gas at the power plant, it generates less pollution overall than burning gasoline in an ICE.

Normally I'm not a fan of that Donut Media channel. Their soyboy clickbait thumbnails are enough of a turnoff. But I stuck it out for this one. It was informative.

I also read this (clearly anti-EV) article that had some more information that was worth considering.

lol, you get unchecked facts from a fucking virtual panhandler selling hair loss therapies. No wonder why this world is so fucked up. Retarded faggots get all their information from other retarded faggots in the form of a bite sized, John Oliver style propaganda segment.

While you just make yours up.

[ - ] albatrosv15 [op] 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 14:02:04 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah co2 is so baaaaaad.

[ - ] ThisGuy 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 16:12:23 ago (+0/-0)

Wtf do you think this picture is implying? That co2 is bad and electric cars produce just as much, which isn't true but they're still implying it.

[ - ] albatrosv15 [op] 1 point 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 17:53:25 ago (+1/-0)

The guy in the video you posted takes into account only one variable, co2. It's like a holy grail of "bad". I just added a sheep voice, but since you have no visualization skills(maybe even worse, an npc), you can not grasp what i'm saying.

[ - ] ThisGuy 1 point 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 19:18:44 ago (+1/-0)

Really? That's your argument. I'm too stupid to understand your big smart? Wow. How lazy.

"Best"pic I've seen in a week! Damn funny!!

Take your well deserved UPGoat!

[ - ] ThisGuy 1 point 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 12:28:30 ago (+1/-0)

This tired old disproven argument again?

[ - ] dalai_llama 2 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 13:23:03 ago (+2/-0)

Where do you think electricity comes from?

[ - ] Youdgetfuckedfaggot 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 14:30:34 ago (+0/-0)

Here.... 100% hydro electric.

[ - ] FalseRealityCheck 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 19:43:02 ago (+0/-0)

Yes, but dams are bad for the environment and will eventually be eliminated.

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 20:08:38 ago (+0/-0)

Thor?

"Congratulations! You hybridized the electric car!"

[ - ] pickingrinninspittin 1 point 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 13:16:34 ago (+1/-0)

This picture has been around for years, though it's the first time I've seen it with the black smoke added. I wish they wouldn't do that ie. lie to increase the impact. It takes a pithy statement and turns it into propaganda.

[ - ] albatrosv15 [op] 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 13:46:00 ago (+0/-0)

Wait, you thought people would take this picture as real?

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 20:08:18 ago (+0/-0)

It's the internet breh. Karen thinks everything online is frf 💯

[ - ] AmazingFlightLizard 2 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 15:28:12 ago (+2/-0)

Yeah, but I bet that would get some killer mileage. Those generators can run all day.

[ - ] GhostCow 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 18:27:40 ago (+0/-0)

This is true, but electric cars are still cool. They have many advantages over traditional cars. The batteries are really the only problem. Hopefully they figure out a way to mass produce John B. Goodenough's glass batteries soon.

[ - ] FalseRealityCheck 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 19:51:51 ago (+0/-0)

There are much, much bigger problems with electric cars than the batteries. That's not to say that these problems could be reduced, but the cost of the vehicles would increase commensurately.

[ - ] GhostCow 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 20:41:55 ago (+0/-0)*

What kind of problems? My understanding is that they are great because you don't need to do much in the way of maintenance (no oil changes) and they have better acceleration and handling. I've always just heard that they are better in every way except the range and expensive battery replacements. Obviously there are plenty of complaints about Teslas and such, but none of those complaints are things that are intrinsic to electric car technology. Those complaints are usually about things like scratched paint or buggy software.

[ - ] FalseRealityCheck 2 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 23:42:17 ago (+2/-0)*

What kind of problems?
The computerization and electronics necessary to make the vehicle function are the primary issues. The more complex you make something the more prone it is to having problems. (Look at Tesla's history.) Secondly, the quality of the electronics is shit. These cars are not designed to go much more than 10 years.

In theory, electric vehicles would be the best solution IF they could live up to their promises. The best compromise is the diesel-electric vehicles used in mining and train transportation industries. These machines do not rely on batteries for power, but they get the benefits of electric motors to drive the vehicles and operate various other systems. If you want to go the ultimate total electric route it would be the shovels they use in mining such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2Flb4aQfXo. (Note that this machine is hooked up to the electric power grid.)

I once saw a video where the creator was explaining all the complexity that goes into making a lithium powered cordless drill functional. One of the things that struck me is when he explained the limits on power the drill could produce and how a corded drill had no such limits. He then got into how simple it was to maintain and repair a corded drill and how a cordless one was usually unfixable or was cost prohibitive as compared to simply buying a new unit. Over, say a 50-year time span it made much more sense to use corded drills. (Assuming repair parts were available for the duration.)

(Side note: I just installed a new trigger switch in one of my corded drills that is 39 years old.)

Most of the promises of the New Green Deal are simply bullshit pie-in-the-sky declarations that will never come to pass because they are technically impossible. The JWO simply puts out this propaganda because it minimizes the resistance to their agenda and they know most people aren't going to be alive very much longer. (Assuming their plans come to fruition.)

This is a very brief and generalized overview of the situation. You would have to dive in and spend time researching to fully understand what I am trying to convey.

[ - ] GhostCow 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 23:48:54 ago (+0/-0)

Thanks for the info. Those diesel-electric vehicles sound really cool. Pretty much sounds like the best of both worlds.

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 20:06:55 ago (+0/-0)

Good luck finding diesel for the generator in putins inflationary climate change of the unvaccinated

[ - ] wonderfuldonut 0 points 3.0 yearsJun 23, 2022 20:59:08 ago (+0/-0)

It always makes we laugh when lefty greeny tards carry on about green shit, it just proves how gormless they really are. They bang on about caring for the climate. Yet not one will sacrifice their creature comforts to achieve their insane pipe dream. Wait till SHTF time see if they can cope with real hard times. Side not look at all the celebs that buy water front homes to see what croc o shite and scam it all is. Yet they all squeal man made climate change will raise sea levels.
