I think Oil in my favorite episode. They strike oil in the basement. Mike becomes their dictator, Vivian is his muscle, Ric organizes a freedom concert and sells 1 ticket to Neil the oppressed worker. Hilarious satire. Favorite lines from that episode: Viva El Presidente! Mike you fascist junta. Ha-Missed both my legs.

That was a pretty good episode. Damn fine satire.

How many times are you going to post this?

No problem. You're clearly not a bad actor. There was a time on old Voat when a lot of new posts were posted in v/all and a sub closer to the topic of the post. It used to drive users there crazy, so some people here a bit sensitive about it.

Great show.

Too bad you spammed it so damned many times.

The hippy wrote a cartoon illustrated book called ‘Neil’s book of the dead’. I thought it was pretty funny… but I was 16. Nothings funny anymore. But I did enjoy this show back in the day, and I usually don’t like English humor.

I didn't watch it in the 80s very much, but I was well aware of it. Frankly, it just made me nervous watching this controlled chaos with everyone yelling all the time. Alexei Sayle in particular annoyed me. He was then and is now a literal commie, but at least he was kind of funny on the show.

The thing I liked best about it was when they would break the fourth wall for commentary. It think it was in the first episode when Mike (I think it was) introduced some punk band, all of them very thin in very thin 60s style tight black suits, who played from the back of the set for about two minutes, then faded back and everyone continued like nothing happened. This was great, absurdist stuff.

I have all of the shows with the magic of the innerwebs, so I ought to get around to watching all of them someday.
