Any time you have polygamy you are creating a scarcity of available females which means you have to kill of the extra males or invade some other country and devour their females and enslave their males to support your polygamy. So they are always at war trying to acquire more females and eliminate or enslave males. Honest labor gets you nowhere in these societies and the cheats and thieves begin to outnumber nice guys and hard workers. Everyone in the middle east is descended from horny warlords. They are bad neighbors.

They are fighting over another similar situation with the Rama Mandir temple/ Babri Masjid mosque, a site where the muslims built a mosque on the shrine to the “birthplace of Rama” . Theyve had riots for decades over that one. Islam always wrecks shrines of other religions and builds on top of them. Theyve done it to the Buddhists in Burma too. Of course there’s the hagia sofia as well.
