Thr internet has turned to shit like every other industry, government interference in marketplaces has led to corporate oligopoloes everywhere.
Much of the things that look to most people like capitalism are actually the results of the socialist elements within our system. Under no libertarian philosophy would bailouts with taxpayer money be considered legitimate.

Same thing with science, humanities, and education.
It's all corporate now, there's no way anything that comes from it can be trusted once these kinds of external interests get involved, especially especially they are enabled by government to weild the power they do in these circles.

Just as there should be a separation of market and state, so too should academia be kept separate from government intervention.

Libertarianism holds that top down solutions look good initially, and when put in practice tend to perform very well for a while, but in the long term, they degrade and degenerate into absolute hell as their problems get worse and worse without anything to mitigate the issues which crop up, corruption mounts as whatever is centralized becomes a tool of power for psychopaths to control, and weild against rhe people.

The bottom up decentralized strategy of libertarianism is the opposite, things start out bad, often disastrously so, but under the principles of natural selection, the better of the available choices always outlasts the competition, and over time things can only improve.

Most importantly, under a top down system, there's no escape from bad stuff once it gets into the system, there's nothing but one choice, so you have no better options than the one you're stuck with.

Under the decentralized option, you always have a choice, and even when you can't find the choice you want, you can always take your investment and create a new alternative of your own, to compete with the existing ones.

People who oppose libertarian ideas on a basis of case studies are always bullshitters, they focus on the failings of libertarian approaches, often the ones that occur in the initial stages, and disregard any improvements that come from keeping to the libertarian approach as things improve over time. They also overexaggerate the problems that occur under such systems, often the people who make poor decisions and suffer for them, which in libertarian thought is what leads to the establishment of standard traditional ways of doing things, wisdom from experience and from the culling of the unwise by the consequencea of their poor decisions.
They ignore the good things that that out of adopting a more libertarian society, as it doesn't help their case.
And lastly, they turn a blind eye to their preffered way of running things, in no way could their preference benefit from a point by point comparison, so they don't do it.

The last point I'll make is that they also don't see the inherent value of liberty, that you can trust the science in a libertarian society since academic society as a whole is no longer incentivized to lie to you, in fact, the decentralization of academia means that there's always some other scientific body put there which is independent enough to comfortably call put any bad science that the other academic institutions put out.
In a libertarian society, the media is no longer some state or corporate sponsored propaganda, artists are starving, so anything try create is made for more than the banal pursuit of profit.
There no corporate oligopolies who shape your culture, and businesses are earnestly chasing profits rather than harning their profits in trying to maximize their ESG scores.
There's no banker control of your country, you can once again be certain that your politicians are yours, working to serve the people with the best leadership ideas rheu have, rather than being manipulated by a shadowy cabal of jews holding the economy hostage.
In such a society, your money is some commodity with inherent value due to its practical utility in other uses besides as a medium of trade, and thus your banknotes are backed by real value, they are resistant to inflation, and your purchasing power can only go up.
The market isn't dominated by some conspiracy of companies that are connected and hold common political goals, but is instead full of smaller businesses, and your market is based strongly around entrepreneurship, not embedded corporate powers who can rely on the government to give them your money when you are unwilling to do so yourself.
All this and more are what awaits you if we can reverse the economic changes that were made to America since the beginning of the 1900s, and then going back further to revise the basic foundations of the USA to make them more libertarian, such as removing the clause that allows for the ownership of intellectual property.
I think going as far as we could, back to a night watchman state of minarchism, using the non aggression principle as the basis for almost all our laws, aside from the practice of banking and taxation, which would employ the fullest of banking reforms and a set of taxes under which everyone pays an amount that everyone else could easily know, and under which it is not only that everyone pays taxes, but that everyone would always be able to pay their taxes when they are owed.
(A sales tax at a universal set percentage, a tariff equal to paying the sales tax again added for transaction across borders, a land value tax for land holders which is a universal set percentage of the lands inherent value in an undeveloped state, and a toll that is a set price for admission paid by everyone when they are moving across the borders, though we may change it to only be charged on non residents of the country.)

Every time, this one included that I hear someone say privatize or free market.....that's not what that means.

When you have a private entity or a free market it is without controls other than natural forces. Government is NOT a natural force and nothing is public or private nor is it free from intervention. This is a lie, it's always a lie.
