IIRC, there is a battery in the Javelin and sometimes it's dead.

You know how every so often a new AA comes out of a new pack and is dead? That happens to fancy military batteries too.

Destroy that Javelin. It will not work. The battery is not field-replacable.

They make some noise to let you know the battery is dead, but it's not well documented in the manual.
