The site is crafted by one guy. Its comment and vote system is kinda janky. For example you can post a comment but when you go back to check on it mere seconds later the thing acts like it never existed. An owner of a specific subverse might ban you. I think they might be able to purge comments on their subverse too. I dont know. Its never been a noticeable issue on my end.
But if you think the voting system is trustworthy I have a bridge in Langley to sell. It's why this Reddit kinda bullshit hasn't been implemented at Discussions. It's one thing they've gotten right at least.
Lack of transparency and that it can easily be manipulated are reasons why the Reddit style voting system has always been a bad idea. Plus endless time is spent talking about the system itself.
It's still a good idea. Only when disgusting faggots like @blumen4alles blatantly vote farm and pedo sympathizer @system allows it, does it become a problem.
There's no use in even having it. When the old style fora bumping system was implemented it even became superfluous. Real Voat at least didn't have that.
