I also charge libs an “asshole fee” when I’m quoting repairs on their boats here in Fl.
I am so busy, if someone bitches about my price I will straight out say I am adding $15 an hour to my bid. I have plenty of loyal customers and I don’t get nickeled and dimed for custom work. I'm glad to hear that you're in a position that you don't need to take every customer possible.
I'm in a class right now on project management for contracting. We were just talking about this: there's a contractor out there that is already making enough money for himself that he purposely puts out much higher bids for projects he doesn't want or need. He'll still take the job in the unlikely event the customer still takes his bid over the other much lower bids, only because then he's making a killing.

I try not to laugh out loud when they sign the estimate.
ALWAYS GET A SIGNED ESTIMATE.
They can’t pull the old I thought you were going to do this and this too, Or that’s not the price we agreed to type of shenanigans. Here in FL, small claims courts don’t look kindly upon customers who don’t pay when the contractor has a detailed and signed estimate and the quality of work speaks for itself.
I always do a fantastic job- above and beyond- with these types of customers because they will come back for more and give referrals even at the exaggerated price.

I used to have a bmw. The guy who taught me about guns drove a bmw then and drives a bmw now. My brother drove a bmw when he lived in this country. Nowdays I wouldn't buy a BMW anymore simply because it is overengineered with too many points of failure. But the idea that this is some sort of liberal car is ridiculous. This is why you don't charge some people extra. You charge some people less. Charge 25% more and advertise 25% discounts doing everything you can to target the right people for that discount.

But they wouldn't be aware that he's flyering based on vehicle type, bumper stickers and neighborhood demographics. You just have two sets of flyers, and or pitches if doing things verbally. You only give the discount to 10-20% of the population rather than targetting 20% for an anti-discount.

You also don't talk about quoting people different things in public. I saw another video they posted on twitter where he was complaining about one of his temp bans on facebook getting lifted and how he's going to be back on their but have to be nice and hold his tounge. The video was basically him talking about how bullshit that is. He really needs an anonymous outlet to vent, badly.
