For those unfamiliar, 'kender' is a race in old-school DnD. They're essentially halflings/hobbits--albeit more mischievous while ostensibly remaining friendly and good natured. They're usually played as a more comfortable (and thereby more capable) thief and for comic relief.
The video recalls a story, co-authored by frenemies, of a paladin (a religious crusader knight) who had a realization about his kender (((ally))).
