If you were in an otherwise black room, with this stone suspended on the other side, and a light was shined on that rock with luminosity proportional to the sun, it would probably start to look more similar to the moon.

Now, make it even more realistic. Since the room contains solid objects (i.e. the blackness of the room is really just the black color of the walls or whatever), then these also reflect light. Instead imagine a big rock in the vacuum of space where all light simply passes by except what is reflected from the lunar rock.

I watched a few comets passing in my lifetime. What do you suppose is illuminating these? Why do they look like lights from the perspective of an observer on Earth?

Let's stick to facts. We do know that moonlight has no heat temperature and an entirely different effect on plants than sunlight, suggesting that the moon has it's very own properties.

We know that when the sun reflects of any surface, it also transfers it's heat, not in the case of moonlight.

Did all of them seemingly fall towards the ground until out of sight? If we were on a spinning ball then comets would appear from every direction and head in any direction. Instead they always appear from the sky and fall towards the grounds horizon line.

The moons phases are clearly a property of the moon itself and have nothing to do with reflecting the suns light. Do tell how a moon is supposed to reflect the Suns light when it is supposedly orbiting on the opposite side of Earth at times, hidden by the entirety of Earth.

Reflects light in the same way you and I do, which is why we're not invisible. Also, just because visible light is not shining on us does not mean it's not shining on something else. IE, the moon. The Moon's orbit brings it far enough away to be lit by the sun even when we're in darkness. You could easily illustrate this principle with a flashlight, a 1 inch ball and a 6 inch ball.

Moonlight is completely different from sunlight. Moonlight actually brings the temperature down. Shadows in the Moonlight are warmer than where the moonlighting the ground.
If the Moon was reflecting sunlight it would warm up the ground not cool it, that is the proof that Moonlight is not reflected sunlight.

You mean the occlusion of the moon blocking much of our star (sol's) solar radiation is what reduces surface temperature. The moon is not a "cold light".

When I was in high school, many moons ago, they had a mini solar model that I would play with and analyze and one day I realized that the lunar phases did not make any sense according to that model. As most people do, I continued to believe their narrative, for many moons thereafter, because I assumed that they perhaps knew something that I don't, but I never forgot that moment.
