This has been tried before. Because liability lawyers are scumbags. It always fails, because it flies in the face of all the case law that has gone before. Ford and GM have much deeper pockets and don't want to be held liable for every drunk driver that misuses their product. But they keep rolling the dice anyway, hoping for a payout.
