Yeah I've seen that behavior from bigger cats with smaller cats. Might not try to kill him but that cougar is showing dominance...

Been there, done it...I raised a cougar from a 3month old cub, her name was Ritz, she passed away 6years ago at the age of 28. She was a one owner cat, nobody could handle her but me.

Like put the leash around her neck to go for a walk, wrestle without getting bit, having her draped around your neck like a fur collar or hold on to the chicken while she tries to tug it away, cougars are very possessive with their food unlike my bears, I can take their food away from them while they're eating and they'll just sit there with the most pathetic and pitiful look...my cat and I would always wrestle over who gets the couch, every time I would get up to get whatever she would take my spot and then show her teeth when I came back but she always ended up on the floor...she would lay beside me with her head on my side and when she purred it was like the vibration of a cement mixer. I miss those days

Cats birth kittens...cougars birth cubs. I am an avid hater of Cat's. Stay tuned, I'm going to submit an entry later regarding the 3 ferrol felines I vaporized a few days ago with my 12guage loaded with SSG...I'll elaborate on the "colorful" details later.
