I heard they wanted higher velocity cartridges for defeating body armor. It's supposed to have more range too. The optic these will be issued with is nice also.
Higher velocity and more range? 338 Lapua. Either it's a marksman's rifle (few, high powered rounds) or it's an infantry rifle (more lower powered rounds). But they want many high powered rounds? Another piece of shit jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none rifle?
You want proper advances in bullet tech? G11. Wake that shit up from the dead and you'll be having great fun as an assualt rifle, SAW, pistol and maybe even a DMR.
I don't think these are that bad...but yeah, I don't think there was a real need to replace what already works. The new optic is pretty sick. And supressor on every gun? That's cool too.
