I was hoping when they said "fight em there so e we don't have to fight em here" would have equated to glass parking lots for the middle east but jews.
Thanks for killing nazis and brutalizing some random street shitters, now I can have cheap gmo hotdogs poison drinking water and two years of house arrest
make me faggot. you wont. instead you will drink poison water. you don't even have an RO filter. And your dick has been brutalized for $400 of medical kickback.
See. That's exactly what I did and people still question me. Your ships on fire and you're caged in the belly. They are all right, veterans have zero value. Go suck a kike cock more.
Thanking a living soldier for their service is inappropriate on Memorial Day because it is a day for FALLEN soldiers. The surviving ones have Veterans day. Saying it on Memorial Day just proves you're an NPC.
I was on the first plane to arrive in the US after the Vietnam cease-fire went into effect. I should have left 2 weeks earlier, but the cease-fire announcement screw all the 'routine' flights up. They had 60 days to get all the US troops out. Anyway, the plane stopped in Honolulu to refuel. We had to get off the plane and were herded into a fenced in area, in the sun for 2 hours until we were back on the plane. When we landed at Travis AFB, CA. we pulled up to the terminal, but they wouldn't left us off the plane. 1.5 hours later a TV truck from a San Francisco station drove up near the plane and set up their cameras. Then they let us off the plane and the reporter was trying to get statements from anybody he could, but by then we all really pissed off and everybody was telling them to fuck off and get out of the way. I don't know if they ever got footage they could use. When we got into the terminal we had to go thru Customs, and they inspected almost every enlisted guys duffel bag looking for drugs. All I had was the (borrowed) uniform I was wearing, so I got thru quickly. But, we all had to wait until Customs was done with everybody so we could get a 'briefing' from the Base commander. He told us we could not leave the base in uniform because protesters were outside the gate. My hometown was 20 miles away, so one of my brothers (also a vet) was there to pick me up.
When I got discharged I lived and worked overseas for almost 20 years, rarely talked about being a vet. Came back to the US around 93, not long after the first Gulf War. One of my brothers gave a Vietnam Vets had to wear and the first time someone gave me that "Thanks for your service" I was stunned speechless. After hearing it a couple of times I started saying "you're about 20 years too late". I've mellowed a bit and now just nod and move on.
My dad was in nam. One of only two men in his entire platoon to survive. Supposedly he was a war hero, according to my family, but he would never talk to me about it. All the way up to his death.
A couple things he did tell me was that Bob Hope refused to play a USO show for his battalion (which my father resented him for), and people called him and other nam vets "baby killers" when they returned
I think they need a new saying specifically to recognize the sacrifices made without sounding like your mentioning the weather just to make conversation.
The US military hasn't fought for our freedom since 1783 or so. EVERY SINGLE CONFLICT since then has been initiated by our government or our foreign policy. Every. Single. One.
If anything, US veterans are partially to blame for the state of our nation. It seems that there is never an unending stream of morons willing to throw themselves on the flag to be "heewohs!".
Fuck! There is always some moron begging to be "thank you for your service". You didn't serve me. You didn't serve our nation. You enabled a corrupt government to push the will of corporations so they could profit.
