Federal reserve says it's main goal is to "bring down wages" to combat inflation

Almost seems like they're purposely antagonizing the underclass in order to spur a communist revolution

Inflation is caused by printing money. That's it.

We're being gaslit to the max.

Better working conditions, like union negotiations, can look like inflation. Business lobbied for salary caps in the 50s. This gave rise to the fucked up insurance industry as benefits packages were a way to get around salary caps.

Not exclusively. Ultimately the value of money is speculative value. People can choose to value things however they want. If people universally recognized the USD was a token of their enslavement we could get it to go to zero in a month. That would be a good thing. The US dollar is going to disvalue. Do you want it to disvalue from people stealing from you or from people recognizing it for the trash that it is? The two compete with each other.

Luckily taxation is deflationary so long as you have a black hole for the revenues.

It's also caused by fewer supplies. Fewer goods being produced, more money chasing after those fewer goods -- it's a double whammy.

Certainly feels like all the jobs around me are fighting for the lowest wages while simultaneously desperate for labor.

Pretty incredible.

Wait weren't we told inflation brings wages up, or something.

You're not the one who's supposed to be spending money. It's the government that's supposed to be spending money!

[ - ] Teefinyomouf 4 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 17:58:16 ago (+4/-0)

And not here. Spending money here is too inflationary.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer 5 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:41:31 ago (+5/-0)

Real wages haven't really gone up since the early 70's.

[ - ] Version6 5 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 14:14:37 ago (+5/-0)

How would the fed even affect that?

[ - ] ReturnOfTheGoats 4 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:02:00 ago (+4/-0)

That’s what I was wondering. Do they control the boards of most companies and then just make them pay less to new hires?

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer 5 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:41:00 ago (+5/-0)

Considering how all these kikes work together to bring down White, western countries, I don't think they need a controlling portion of a company board to effect a change.

[ - ] GoatsAdvocate 4 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 23:47:41 ago (+4/-0)

They could lower the minimum wage but lol who is even hiring and employing anymore at minimum wage right now

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 4 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 16:08:26 ago (+4/-0)

you mean the inflation they created by mass money printing in response to covid, a completely unneeded response as has now been proven and any retard capable of self thought knew at the time.

[ - ] UncleDoug 2 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 14:14:49 ago (+2/-0)

Haha thats the exact opposite of sound economic management.

Higher wages combat inflation by allowing the population greater expendable income, that feeds and grows the economy. All your purchases are taxed both ends, POS throug buyer and by vendor, seller.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 4 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:25:38 ago (+4/-0)

No. Higher wages do not combat inflation.

[ - ] Centaurus 3 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:46:48 ago (+3/-0)

Exactly, it only raises prices. They want to "combat inflation" on their end, not ours. Higher prices and lower wages.

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 30, 2022 00:29:52 ago (+0/-0)

Higher wages equals more purchasing power. When people have more money not tied up in bills they can spend more on frivolities like beer, cigarettes, coffee, restaurants, fashion and entertainement.

Wages typically adjust with inflation to combat inflation otherwise the economy goes into retraction.

So ontop of being doctor and a lawyer you are also an economist it seems.

Your second sentence contradicts itself, and the third sentence has nothing to do with the point you're trying to make.

Higher wages directly cause inflation.

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 30, 2022 00:39:52 ago (+0/-0)

Production costs and demand cause inflation. Wages increase to combat recession, albeit an increase in wages can contribute somewhat to the end cost of goods, higher wages doesn't necessarily translate directly into inflation.

Supply chain, worker shortage, less product available and more demand for product, logistics and cost of transportation of product and almost always simply printing more cash causes inflation as it devalues a currency when purchasing overseas products, especially with free trade deals. A global economy is a bitch.

The singular reason for hyperinflation this time around is that our politicians are printing currency like monopoly money during the covid pandemic, and now they dont want to increase wages for you to have a living income.

[ - ] SecretHitler 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 30, 2022 08:27:41 ago (+0/-0)

Higher wages combat inflation

an increase in wages can contribute somewhat to the end cost of goods, higher wages doesn't necessarily translate directly into inflation.

Get your story straight bruh

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 30, 2022 14:32:07 ago (+0/-0)

It's really not that tricky.

Higher the wage, greater the cost passed onto to the consumer, whilst simultaneously providing people in those industries with more money not tied up with living expenses to boost the economy.

Maybe the trick is to raise wages, just not those in industries that are involved in produce (farmers, supermarkets, etc)

[ - ] Prairie 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 20:18:01 ago (+1/-0)

Inflation has already brought down wages by devaluing the dollar. They want to double-down on this attack.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 15:23:21 ago (+1/-0)

If somebody murdered all the members of the federal reserve ( at some unspecified point in time that isnt in the next year and then only in minecraft) that would bring down inflation. I absolutely guarantee it woould.

"Listen up, Goy! Prices are high because you maggots keep buying things. If we cripple your income, you won't be able to buy as much, so prices will fall. At some point you may be able to buy as much as you can now."

[ - ] mikenigger 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 18:46:35 ago (+0/-0)

ITT econobrainlets that think wage increases are universally good and doesn't contribute to further inflation

If we had all gotten in crypto we could have taken away their power, and it also wouldn't have gone down because it would have the stability of people earning saving and spending it every day. You chose a worse world and because of it someone still has power over you and is going to use it to exterminate your race.

Switching from USD to crypto was a necessity. It still is.

[ - ] HeyJames [op] 3 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 16:32:32 ago (+3/-0)

You do realize most crypto is owned by wall street banks right?

[ - ] x0x7 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 29, 2022 23:00:55 ago (+0/-0)

That doesn't matter. It wouldn't be most if you all were ditching fed-trash from the beginning. There's always some excuse to keep valuing the shit they print.
