I can't wait for the fires stored up in heaven to fall on this world. This is going to be a crazy ass decade...

You know, I think you're right.

Cheese ages well, which is why it's usually aged. And WW3 hasn't broken out. The only reason any terrorist won was because they worked for the CIA. In other words, jews won.

Aged like milk.

Although the chart should be yellow instead of teal.

you're supposed to age a lot of cheeses

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 2.0 yearsMay 23, 2022 15:15:49 ago (+2/-0)

12 year sharp cheddar is some fantastic stuff.

one day I'll be fancy enough for old cheese

Live in Wisconsin and you'll find more than you can imagine. The stereotypes are true.

I had a buddy from Sheboygan. His mom and dad were literally off the boat from Germany after WW2. He drank beer like it was mother's milk. His farts were the worst I or anybody else ever smelled. He could literally clear a room. We called him the "Cheese-eating Nazi".

I grew up in Wisconsin. Around Wausau. I moved to Florida about 15 years ago. I literally just paid $12.99/lb for squeaky cheese curds.

Good man. From Waukesha but have been on the move for the last five years. Cedar Valley Cheese has ridiculously good string cheese and curds. Every so often they have free shipping in the continental US. Saves me $80 in shipping...and they get a $200 order.

Shows up within three days to California...just usually wait for cold weather to make sure it survives.

With living in Florida, do you get used to not having four seasons?

If the last leg is in the 70s, its not bad. I wouldn't go ordering in July if you expect it to stay 100% cold.

I think it's a fair deal to have 40s in the winter in exchange for average summer temp being 76. Plus it only rains for the 4 winter months.

It's really just the opposite of Wisconsin. In Wisconsin you either stay in the house for 6 months because its too cold or you take extreme measures to be ok with it. Same thing down here. Be ready to sweat. I've acclimated to 85 degrees or more so 9 months of the year are VERY tolerable.

Right. I don't have to scrape sunshine off of my windshield. Sunshine won't block the locks on my car. I don't have to shovel sunshine before I can move my car. Snow is a dealbreaker for me now.

UPS® (UPS 2nd Day Air®)$33.49

UPS® (UPS Next Day Air®)$61.40

Heck of a shipping deal they have there for less than 2 pounds of cheese. I'm not that desperate for curds.

[ - ] bobdole9 1 point 2.0 yearsMay 23, 2022 22:24:45 ago (+1/-0)

That's the kicker. I end up getting 12 pounds of string cheese, several bags of curds and some specialty bricks. Getting one or two small things makes shipping not worth it.

They will do free shipping once in awhile though.

[ - ] Sector7 1 point 2.0 yearsMay 23, 2022 23:53:34 ago (+1/-0)

Do miss those squeaky curds though. I'll have to look for a California version.

Did you know a shit ton of Wisconsin cheese is made with California milk? It’s a fact. I know a trucker who picks up barrels of milk halfway through the process in the Central Valley, Madera I think, and hauls it to Wisconsin for the finish. That makes it Wisconsin cheese.

The skill is making it into the final product. I would imagine places like Sargento have a massive demand where getting molk from out of state makes sense.

Small creameries would use local farms though...if it wasn't already part of a dairy farm.

Clean your dick and youll get frumunda cheese

[ - ] ThisGuy [op] 0 points 2.0 yearsMay 24, 2022 08:03:54 ago (+0/-0)

If you clean your dick you WON'T get frumunda cheese.

That is some serious ageing. Just checked my fridge. Vintage Gouda: 6 months. Vintage cheddar: 15 months.

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 2.0 yearsMay 23, 2022 22:30:13 ago (+0/-0)

The real good cheddar has a bit of crystallization...some squeak, some crunch, all delicious.

I'm talking about a bag of cheese curds under your car seat in August.

I say send all the faggots to an island like Brits did to Australia. Then after a generation all the fags will disappear
