Back in the good ol' days of the internet. Back before normies could get on. There was a 123% chance that any link posted anywhere would take you to a dick enlargement scam, or Bonzi Buddy scam.

So, before you clicked anything you'd have to at least check the URL to see if it was legit.

The habit stayed with me. I still check everything before I click.

Nope. Been running XP Pro for over four years now, with ZERO successful attacks. Closest any idiot ever got was when some fool tried to encrypt my stuff. I just hit the on/off switch on the PC, and when that didn't work, I reached behind and flipped off the power switch. I rebooted, went back to the previous system restore point, and the scriptkiddie got forcefed his turdburger! If worse comes to worst, I got a computer tech I can call. So no, I ain't afraid of links.
